Removable Tattoo Ink

Removable Ink Not Allowed in Miami Ink Tattoo Shop
by Groshan Fabiola

New York based Freedom-2 Inc. has recently developed a new technology that makes the removal of tattoos much easier. This may come off as good news for those who want the art off their bodies, but for those who value the permanent nature of tattoos see this innovation as a complete insult. Take for example Ana Gonzales, an employee at the featured tattoo shop in TLC's reality series, Miami Ink.

"If you hate your tattoo cover it up but at least you've given the artist the benefit of the doubt," Gonzalez said in a CTV.ca telephone interview from Miami, Florida. Ana Gonzales is a secretary and personal assistant to the tattoo artists who regularly appear on Miami Ink.

"If you're going to get a tattoo, get a tattoo. If you don't, then get henna," she added.

Removable ink, the new creation of Freedom-2 Inc., has been the subject of heated discussions at the tattoo shop. Gonzales said that the shop, which was co-owned by tattoo artists Ami James and Chris Nunez, has always been against the use of such technology.

"The reaction has always been 'hell no!'" Gonzales told CTV.ca. "We're trying to find ink that will last longer, not less."

Aside from Gonzales, other purists also believe that tattoos are supposed to be treated as a legacy and not as a passing fad. Tattoo artist at Way Cool Tattoos in Toronto, Chris Hall also believes that tattoos are a representation of an individual's life experiences, thus should be permanent, such as the experiences themselves.

"[Removable Ink] is an easy out for people who want to get tattoos as fashion accessories but it takes away from their obligation to take responsibility for their choices," Hall said. "To put it on just to take it off totally misses the point."

Miami Ink features customers who have shared their personal stories and motivations for choosing such tattoos, thus further pushing the fact that they are more than just trendy body art. Even the artists' tattoos have stories hidden beneath the art and are often representations of an important phase or milestone in their lives.

TLC's Miami Ink will come back for a brand new season in the fall.

Sexy Tattoos - Girls, This is Where Your Sexy Tattoo Should Be Placed!

Sometimes girls will choose very sexy tattoos, but they will place them in the WRONG area of the body which lessens the sexy nature of the design! You definitely want to choose your tattoo design placement carefully.
Here are some great places for you sexy tattoos:
1. Navel. This is a great place for sexy tattoos. Girls have navel piercings, low rise pants and skirts, and a tattoo will work great for stepping the sexy up even more. It's an instant eye catcher and automatically puts you in that realm of "sexy". Consider small to medium designs as opposed to large. You want to somewhat subtly accentuate your sexy, as opposed to trying to shout it out loud and overdo it.
2. Feet. Wow, feet tattoos are definitely sexy! This is an overlooked area which many girls don't initially consider. It's definitely worth consideration and can look incredibly pretty and unique with open shoes and painted toes.
3. Hips. Another great sexy spot, especially for the low rider jean girls or the bikini girls as this spot will drive most any man, and many women, wild! There's something about a hip tattoo that just screams sexy. It's both subtle, yet totally eye catching once you spot it. It's not too "out there" or risque, rather more unique and flattering.
An important note about low back tattoos: You will notice I have left out low back tattoos. While many do consider this a sexy area for tattoo placement, girls, it really has been "played out". Now days slang terminology has emerged for the low back tat - "tramp stamp". This is because too many girls jumped on the trendy and overplayed lower back bandwagon. Consider the other sexy placement options listed before going for the no longer in style back design.

How to Understand the Powerful Meanings Behind Dragon Tattoo Designs

All over the world, dragon tattoo designs have been popular and still are. The great thing about having a dragon tattoo is that you can have it on basically any part of your body and it will look great. Dragons on their own are mystical creatures that are known only to exist in folklore and in myths, but this could be the reasons as to why dragon tattoo designs are one of the most popular in the world.
Depending on which way the dragon is designed and portrayed, dragon tattoos can emit many different emotions, some of which include anger and hate right through to elegance and adoration. Due to the fact that so many cultures offer their own depictions of exactly how dragons are and what they look like, people that are looking to have the tattoos done have such a wide variety to choose from.
The designs of these tattoos are just about endless, so when you decide that you are going to settle with one of the many designs available, make sure you choose the right design and on the right part of your body. It is great that you can arrange your dragon so that it emits something that suits you. A dragon can be personalized in more than one way. Make it into a dragon that you have always wanted on your body, but still with meaning.
According to legends, dragons are said to have originated from the Far East, in certain countries like Japan, China and Korea. It is said that the dragons were mainly used to guard valuable treasures so that no one could pass them and get to whatever they were guarding. In this case you could use dragon tattoo designs like this to protect something of yours, like your heart. Dragons were not always bad as perceived, and they weren't always the fire-breathing monsters people made them out to be.
When artists are constructing dragon tattoo designs they tend to keep the body and face similar. With the Chinese dragons, they typically have longer torsos as well as shorter legs, but in truth, most dragons are more like sea monsters or snakes than the dragons that feature in European fairytales. Dragon's eyes normally look harsh and show wisdom, so if it is the serious look you are going for it will be an original dragon.
One of the main features of any one of the dragon tattoo designs is the color of the dragon. The color is very important as it is the main characteristic in the dragon and the look it is supposed to portray. When it comes to Chinese dragon tattoos, these are normally done in yellow, orange and red.
The medieval dragon is also one of the popular dragon tattoo designs of today, but sometimes these were used to reference the dragon in evil ways, which is a look that isn't always wanted.

Tattoo Horror Stories - Read These Tattoo Horror Stories Before Getting Inked!

There are some real tattoo horror stories out there. Getting inked with serious regret to follow is actually very common. Reading tattoo horror stories can prevent you from falling into this same trap of deep regret.
1. Man has too much too drink. The next morning he wakes with a gigantic "Mighty Mouse" tattoo on the center of his chest.
Drunk tattoos are notorious for tattoo horror stories. The number of guys and girls who have gone inside a tattoo parlor drunk and come out with ridiculous regrettable ink is countless.
2. Teenager is a fan of Ozzy Osbourne. So he get's "OZZY" tattooed across his knuckles.
Band tattoos of all types are highly regrettable years later when people's taste in music changes. But the "Ozzy on knuckles tattoo" is a classic horror come to life 20 years down the road. It's totally noticeable, and while it may have been cool at 17, at 37 it will probably look more ridiculous than anything.
3. Young woman feels rebellious. So she gets a purple dragon tattooed on the side of her head.
People don't realize that their rage and rebellion are usually short lived. Yet they get tattooed thinking their sensibilities will remain the same throughout their life. If you are thinking of a rage tattoo, have it done somewhere a little more discreet than the side of your head. Hair doesn't always cover everything up!
4. Man falls in love with woman. And then has her name tattooed across his neck.
Name tattoos are also notorious for highly regretful ink. There are actually a bunch of neck tattooed men out there with women's names whom they no longer even talk to, although at one point they obviously thought things would last.
5. Guy allows girlfriend to tattoo him. He ends up with a playboy bunny with the word "PlayBoy" underneath, only it is somehow misspelled.
Guys never allow your girlfriend to choose your tattoo, let alone actually ink it on you. This poor guy had a bad tattoo and to add insult to injury, he had a misspelled work as well.
